According to a statement issued by the British High Commission in Islamabad, applications have been opened for professional scholars from Pakistan with two years of postgraduate work experience. The British government has also announced that these individuals will be fully funded to pursue a one-year master’s degree under the Chevening Scholarship.
The British High Commissioner has also urged Nigerians to take advantage of this program. He said that this is a great opportunity for talented and transformative scholars from around the world.
Who is eligible for the scholarship?

- For a Chevening Scholarship, you must be from a country eligible for the fellowship, which includes about 54 African countries.
- And you must make an agreement to go back to your country for 2 years after the scholarship ends.
- You must have 2 years of work experience after completing your graduation.
- And you must have an undergraduate degree that qualifies you for a master’s in British.

- Step 1: In the first step, go to the Chevening portal and click on Apply there and then find your country and program from the menu and click Apply Today.
- Step 2: After this, you will reach the online application system where you will agree to the terms and conditions and register your email and number. And after that, you will be sent an email with a link to the application portal.
- Step 3: After clicking on the link to the application portal, you will be asked to verify your eligibility by answering eligibility questions. If you confirm your eligibility, you will receive an email to continue the application at your registered email address.
- Step 4: You will then be sent an access code that is completely unique and will be required to access the application.
- Step 5: After you have properly opened your account, you will also need to fill out an application form. And you must complete all sections of the application form including personal details, immigration details, educational history, work history and study program.
- Step 6: And when you have completed all sections of the application form and met the scholarship requirements, submit the application and also confirm submission.
